The procedure

6 steps

  1. Validate the topic against a real, searched question, not an internal opinion.
  2. Define the one promise the asset makes and the one action it should drive after download.
  3. Produce the asset to a specific, usable standard, not a padded page count.
  4. Build the gate: a single-field form where reasonable, with double-opt-in if your list requires it.
  5. Wire the delivery email and the first two nurture touches before going live.
  6. Test the full path from form submit to delivered asset, then publish and promote.
