Every kid knows the call, even if they never knew how to spell it. Olly olly oxen free. It is what you shout at the end of the game. It means the round is over, the hiding is done, everyone can come out into the open now. You are safe. You are free. Come home.

Ollie is that call, turned into a character.

A green, friendly all-clear. The signal that you can stop hiding under the pile of operational work and step back into the open.

That is not a cute coincidence layered on after the fact. It is the entire point of OTP, compressed into a name. So it felt right that the one who guides you through the product would carry it.
