Vision Building Day 1 is the first of two sessions where a leadership team answers the big questions about where the company is going and how it will get there. Working through the top of the Vision and traction document, the team defines core values, core focus, the long-term target, and the marketing strategy. It is for teams that have completed Focus Day and are ready to clarify their vision.
Use it about thirty days after Focus Day, once the team has run a few weekly meetings and built early traction. It is the first half of clarifying the full Vision, completed on Day 2.
The full leadership team and the facilitator, usually four to eleven people. These answers shape the whole company, so the people who lead it must define them together.
This is deep, sometimes slow work, and that is fine. Begin by recapping progress since Focus Day, then move top-down through the Vision questions. Spend real time discovering core values, because they anchor everything that follows. Clarify core focus and the long-term target so the company has a shared aim, then build the marketing strategy: target market, the three uniques, the proven process, and the guarantee. Capture each answer cleanly and set the team up to finish the Vision on Day 2.
You can adapt this template to your team and run it in OrgTP, capturing your values, focus, and strategy where the whole team can see them. OrgTP is built on the EOS cadence, so your Vision connects directly to the Rocks and meetings that bring it to life.
