Quote to Signed Contract

The handoff from a verbal yes to a signed contract, with a clean trigger into billing and onboarding so nothing falls between teams.

Sales 6 steps
When to use

When a prospect verbally agrees and you need a clean path to signature.

Trigger
Runs when: Prospect gives a verbal yes

The procedure

6 steps

  1. Send the order form or contract the same day, pre-filled with the agreed scope, term, and price.
  2. Name a single internal owner for the signature chase and a check-in date three business days out.
  3. Confirm the legal and procurement path on the buyer side and book any required review call.
  4. On signature, set the opportunity to closed-won and stamp the start date.
  5. Trigger billing setup and the onboarding kickoff in the same hour the deal is marked won.
  6. Send the buyer a short welcome with the named onboarding owner and the first milestone date.
Outputs
  • A signed contract or order form
  • A closed-won opportunity with a start date
  • A billing record and an onboarding kickoff scheduled

Note: The gap between verbal yes and signature is where momentum dies. A named owner and a three-day check-in keep it warm.
