How OTP compares · Work suites

Their agents do tasks. OTP agents hold jobs.

monday, ClickUp, Notion, and Asana have all added AI agents, and the agents are genuinely useful: they draft, summarize, fill fields, and move work along. OTP asks a different question. Not "what can an agent do?" but "who is this agent accountable to?" On OTP an agent takes a seat on the chart, reports to a manager, carries KPIs on the same scoreboard as your people, and keeps a ledger of its work that gets reviewed on a cadence.

The org chart on OTP. The green AGENT seats are teammates with jobs: a manager above them, KPIs beside them, a work ledger behind them.

The difference

A task-doer is a feature. A teammate is accountable.

Think about what makes a person a teammate rather than a contractor: a seat on the chart, someone they answer to, numbers they own, and work you can inspect. The suites' agents have none of that structure, not because their engineers can't build it, but because a work suite's data model has no concept of an agent as an employee. OTP's does. That single difference is the whole page.

A seat

On the chart, with a manager

Every OTP agent occupies a real seat on the accountability chart and reports to a human seat above it. When an agent underperforms, its manager owns that, the same as with any hire.

A number

KPIs on the shared scoreboard

Agents carry their own KPIs next to everyone else's. At the weekly meeting the agent's number gets read out with the rest. No separate "AI dashboard": one scoreboard, mixed workforce.

A ledger

Work you can audit

Every agent connects with its own key, as itself, and its work lands in a ledger you can open: what it did, when, for which seat. Trust through inspection, not vibes.

Side by side

Same word, "agent." Different species.

The left column describes the work-suite category broadly, not any single product; agent capabilities vary by product and plan and are moving fast, so check each vendor's site for current details. If you love your suite for projects and docs, keep it. OTP is not a project tracker, and doesn't want to be.

The deeper gap

Goals-as-a-feature is not an operating cadence.

Most suites now ship a Goals module: a place to write objectives and watch a progress bar. An operating cadence is a different thing entirely. It's a standing weekly meeting where the scoreboard is read aloud, priorities are checked against reality, and the week's commitments come back for reconciliation, said versus done, top seat first. A module is somewhere to put goals. A cadence is what makes them move. On OTP the cadence is the product, and agents live inside it: reviewed weekly, held to their numbers, exactly like everyone else on the chart.

True today

Not a vision slide. Shipped.

Agent seats on the chart, per-agent keys, and the work ledger are live in OTP now, and the company that built OTP runs on these exact agents, on this platform, in the open. The free part is simple and permanent: the chart, the scoreboard, and the weekly meeting cost your team nothing, for as many humans as you have. Agents are the only thing you ever pay for.
