Customer Headlines from CSAT and review data, the L10® section AI was made for

The Customer Headlines section of the L10® meeting takes five minutes by design. Each leadership team member shares any customer-facing news worth the room knowing about. Wins, losses, weirdness, themes. The Integrator hears it. The team adjusts.

This section is one of the most powerful in EOS® and one of the most under-fed. Most leadership teams arrive with whatever they happen to remember from the prior week. The big wins make it. The subtle patterns do not. A churn signal that showed up in three support tickets and one bad review across three different team members never gets connected because no one had the full picture.

This is the L10® section where an AI agent layer adds the most leverage with the least risk.

What feeds Customer Headlines today

Most companies have customer signal data scattered across half a dozen sources.

  • The support inbox or ticketing system.
  • The NPS or CSAT survey tool.
  • Public review sites (Google, Yelp, Trustpilot, G2).
  • Slack channels where account managers discuss client status.
  • The CRM, with deal notes and call summaries.
  • The CSM tooling or customer-health dashboard if one exists.

No human reads all six sources every week. The Customer Headlines section ends up being whatever floated to the surface of each person's individual experience that week. The leadership team has a partial view.

An agent reads all six. Every week. Without getting tired. The Customer Headlines section becomes a structured weekly synthesis instead of a memory test.

What a Customer Headlines agent does

A simple pattern. Each Tuesday morning at 6 a.m., the agent pulls from each of the six sources for the prior seven days. It clusters the inputs by theme using semantic similarity. It surfaces the top five themes for the Customer side, with evidence.

Sample output:

"Theme 1: Onboarding friction. Two NPS detractor responses (one cited 'setup took forever'), four support tickets in the first 30 days of new accounts, one review on G2 mentioning a steep learning curve. Recommend the Customer Success team review the onboarding email sequence and the in-app first-run flow."

"Theme 2: Pricing transparency win. Three CSAT responses praising the published pricing page. Two prospects mentioned it in sales calls (per Riya's notes). One Trustpilot review specifically commended the absence of surprises."

"Theme 3: API rate limit complaint. Three customers raised concerns in the last week (two tickets, one Slack DM to the founder). All three are in the same plan tier. Suggest engineering review the published limits for that tier."

Three themes. Each with evidence. Each pointing to either a team action or a celebration.

The Customer Headlines section of the L10® uses this as the starting point. The team adds anything the agent missed (relationship texture, in-person signals, things not in any system). The Integrator decides what becomes To-Dos and what becomes Issues.

What changes about the section's quality

Three changes.

Coverage goes up. Every signal source gets read. Nothing falls through the cracks because the on-duty account manager was on vacation that week.

Pattern detection improves. Three tickets and one review on the same underlying issue used to look like noise. Clustered together, they look like a theme.

Discussion gets faster. The team no longer spends meeting time recalling. They spend it interpreting and acting.

The five-minute time box on Customer Headlines becomes a real five minutes instead of an over-run.

What changes about Employee Headlines

Same pattern, different sources. Employee Headlines benefits from agentic synthesis too. The sources are different.

  • Team Slack channels where culture surfaces.
  • 1-on-1 notes or surveys if the team runs them.
  • Engagement signals (calendar overrun, late-night messages, vacation usage).
  • Anonymous feedback channels if they exist.

The agent surfaces themes. The team interprets. Most companies do not run Employee Headlines as rigorously as Customer Headlines. The agent layer raises both equally and the team starts catching team-health signals earlier.

What the agent should not do

Three rules to keep this useful and not creepy.

One, the agent does not name individual employees in Employee Headlines without their consent. Themes are fine ("we are seeing late-night messages from the engineering team three of five days"). Individual call-outs are not ("Alyson sent eight messages after 10 p.m. this week"). The latter is surveillance. Don't do it.

Two, the agent does not draft responses to customer complaints in the Customer Headlines stream. That belongs to Customer Success agents downstream. The Headlines agent surfaces themes. The action is somebody else's seat.

Three, the agent does not assign blame. The agent reports the signal. The team decides what to do. An agent that starts proposing who failed at what is past its role.

Discipline these three things in the agent's off-limits actions field. The agent stays useful and the team trusts it.

What we use at Sneeze It

We run a Pulse-style client retention agent that reads our client-facing signal sources weekly and produces a clustered themes report. We run a separate agent for Employee Headlines that reads internal channels. Both feed our L10®. Both follow the rules above.

The single biggest payoff we have seen is that recurring client complaints (the slow ones that take three months to surface in a churn) now get caught in week three. The Customer Headlines section is doing the early-warning work that EOS® intended it to do.

How to build this in one week

If you have a support tool with an API (Help Scout, Zendesk, Front, etc.), a review platform (Google Business Profile API, Yelp Fusion, etc.), and a CSAT or NPS tool (Delighted, AskNicely, etc.), the build is straightforward.

Day 1 to 2. Map the data sources. Get read access via API or scheduled export. Confirm the agent's platform (Claude Code, OpenAI Assistants API, etc.) can hit each one.

Day 3. Write the agent's SOP. Six fields. Be explicit about the off-limits actions (no employee names without consent, no response drafting, no blame).

Day 4. Build the agent. The clustering work is the model's bread and butter. The output format is a simple weekly themes report.

Day 5. Dry run. Compare the agent's output to what you would have produced manually. Tighten the prompt.

The following Tuesday, the L10® uses the agent's output. Five minutes for Customer Headlines turns into the cleanest five minutes of the meeting.

FAQ

What about confidentiality of customer feedback? Use enterprise tiers of Claude or ChatGPT with no training on customer data. Most support and review platforms allow read-only API access with scoped permissions. Use those.

Should the agent track sentiment scores? Optional. Themes are usually more actionable than scores. If you already track NPS and CSAT scores, include the trend in the brief but lead with themes.

Can the agent run for monthly customer reviews too? Yes. A monthly version of the same agent is useful for the Quarterly. Same pattern, longer time window.

What if our team uses a Customer Success platform like Gainsight? Even better. Add it as a data source. The platform's health scores plus the unstructured signal sources produce the richest themes.
