**Purpose:** Get to the root problem and leave with a real solution using Identify, Discuss, Solve.

- **Duration:** 60 minutes
- **Cadence:** As needed
- **Participants:** People close to the problem (3-8 people)

**IDS method:** Identify the root problem, Discuss it fully, Solve it with a clear owner.

## Facilitator tips
- Spend most energy on Identify. The wrong problem solved helps no one.
- Hold the line on Discuss. Do not leap to solutions too early.
- Assign one owner per solve, never a committee.
- Solve fewer issues fully rather than touching many superficially.
