# Hoshin Catchball Session Template

Purpose: Cascade a Hoshin objective between two levels, negotiate targets and means through back-and-forth catchball, and reach a commitment both levels own.

- Duration: 90 minutes
- Cadence: As needed (each deployment cascade)
- Participants: A level and the level below it (4-10 people)

- [ ] Receiving level proposes the means (25 min)
- [ ] Negotiate targets, timeline, and resources (20 min)

- Give the receiving level room to challenge the target.
- Pass the why with the what.
- Keep negotiating until commitment is genuine.
- Capture exactly what cascades to the next level.
