# Design Sprint Template

Purpose: Run a five-day design sprint to solve a high-stakes problem and validate a solution with real customers before building it.

Duration: 5 days (about 480 minutes per day)
Cadence: As needed
Participants: A facilitator, a decider, and a cross-functional team of 5-7

## Phases
- [ ] Day 1 - Map (full day) - set the goal, map the problem, ask experts, pick a target
- [ ] Day 2 - Sketch (full day) - gather inspiration, then sketch competing solutions alone
- [ ] Day 3 - Decide (full day) - critique, vote, decider chooses, storyboard the winner
- [ ] Day 4 - Prototype (full day) - build a realistic facade, assign maker and stitcher roles
- [ ] Day 5 - Test (full day) - five customer interviews, watch, capture patterns, decide next steps

## Tips
- Protect the schedule; each day must finish its job.
- Work alone together to avoid groupthink.
- Make the decider decide; do not chase consensus.
- Recruit the five Friday testers early.
- Build only enough to test the riskiest assumption.
