# Weekly Operations Review

> A weekly review of operational metrics against targets that turns red numbers into owned issues instead of quiet drift.

**When to use:** Every week for whoever owns delivery and operational throughput.

**Trigger:** Weekly, before the leadership meeting

## Steps

1. Pull the operational scorecard: throughput, on-time rate, backlog, and quality or defect rate.
2. Compare each metric to its target and to last week and the four-week average.
3. For any metric off target two weeks running, write the proximate cause in one sentence.
4. Convert each persistent miss into an issue with an owner and a due date.
5. Flag any leading indicator trending toward a future miss before it lands.
6. Summarize the three numbers that most need leadership attention this week.

Compare to baseline, not just to target. A number above target but falling fast is the story; the steady miss is already known.
